MRIs, new offers, and some knitting and spinnning

This week seems to be going by very fast.  I had a new MRI on Monday.  We managed to forget to do the blood work required before the test and were worried that we'd have to reschedule it.  We were up early, so we figured we'd go into the hospital now, with extra time and see what we could do about it.  It all worked out fine, except they stuck me 4 times...  Once for the blood draw, 3 times to put the IV in to do the contrast portion of the MRI.  It'll be interesting pretty soon here to see the results of the MRI and the results of the genetic testing.

My friend, Mandy came over and hung out and knitted with me on Tuesday.  :)  It was a nice little visit.  I'm planning on rooming with her for the knitting retreat and I'm excited about it!  The retreat was fun last year, and this year it falls on the only weekend that I would be home by myself while Laurie is in Washington D.C.

Lastly, we put a new offer on a new house today.  Laurie's out right now with our agent filling out the paperwork.  I really hope that this goes through.  It was a really nice house with a great floor plan, great location and so we've got our fingers crossed.  It'll be interesting to be buying a house from out of town...  (Well, Laurie will be out of town, not me mostly.)  Well, she just got home so I'm going to go - we're leaving for CA either tomorrow night or on Friday, so my next post will probably be from there.  I'm really looking forward to going and spending some time at the cabin spinning!

Oh!  One last thing!  Laurie started a new blog.  You can access it from the links on the left hand column on this page under favorite places.  It's all about me :) and what she likes to do with my hair!
